Galfan® is a high purity zinc alloy that contains 95% zinc, 5% aluminium and some additions of lanthanum (La) and cerium (Ce). The corrosion resistance this alloy provides at equal thickness is much greater than that obtained from the zink in the traditional reinforcement. Bianchini provides two types of galvanization quality: commercial Galfan® and reinforced Galfan®.
